Health Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11/6/2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Everyday Design LLC (“Everyday Design,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Health app (“Health”). It applies to Health only. Our website, coaching services and other apps are covered by our Privacy Policy.

By using Health, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use Health.

2. Information We Collect

We collect what you give us as you use Health, and a small amount of technical information when your phone connects to our services.

  • Account. Your email address and password. Google Firebase stores the password in hashed form, and we cannot read it. Before you create an account, the app starts a temporary anonymous session that holds no personal information.
  • Household. Your household’s name, its members and their display names, and the invite code.
  • Food and meals. Grocery lists and items, saved recipes, planned meals, ingredient amounts, and the nutrition numbers you type or have estimated.
  • Health and fitness entries. Movement logs (type, duration and how it felt), rest check-ins, workout plans and logged sets, weight and waist measurements, and weekly check-ins.
  • Goals. Priorities you choose to link to Health, and the weekly status you record against them.
  • Subscription. Whether your household has Health Plus. Apple processes your payment, and we never receive your card details.
  • Technical information. Our service providers receive basic information, such as your IP address, device type and app version, when your phone connects to them.
  • Saved on your phone only. Your unit preferences (pounds or kilograms) and your sign-in session.

In this version, Health does not read data from Apple Health, use your location, or access your contacts or photos.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Run Health and keep it in sync across your household’s devices.
  • Provide the features you ask for, including AI recipe import and nutrition estimates.
  • Show your trends and history.
  • Manage your subscription.
  • Keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
  • Provide support.
  • Meet legal obligations.

4. AI Features

Health Plus can import a recipe from a link or pasted text and estimate nutrition. To do this, our server sends the recipe text (or the page it fetches from a link you give us), plus the recipe title, ingredient names and amounts, and serving counts, to Anthropic’s AI service.

We do not send your name, email address, household, or any of your health and fitness entries. When you give us a link, our server fetches that page on your behalf and identifies itself as the Health app, so the website sees our server’s address, not yours. If a request fails, error details, which may include part of the recipe text, can appear in our server logs. Anthropic handles this content under its own terms and privacy policy.

AI results can be wrong. Please read our Health Terms of Use.

5. Who Else Handles Your Information

We use these companies to run Health. They process information on our behalf under their own terms.

  • Google (Firebase). Sign-in and our database. Stores your account, household and all entries in the United States.
  • Vercel. Runs our AI import and estimate functions. Sees recipe text, links and ingredient lists as they pass through, and keeps routine request logs.
  • Anthropic. The AI model that reads recipes and estimates nutrition. Receives recipe text and ingredient lists.
  • RevenueCat. Tracks your subscription. Receives your household ID, which it uses as the account identifier, and your purchase and receipt information. Like any service your phone connects to, it can see connection details such as your IP address.
  • Apple. The App Store, payments and subscription management.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.

6. Sharing Inside Your Household

Household members can see the lists, items, saved recipes and planned meals that belong to the household. Your movement, rest, workout and body-measurement entries and your check-ins are visible only to you. Anyone who has your household’s invite code can join and see shared content, so share it only with people you trust.

7. Health Information

Movement, rest, workout and body-measurement entries are sensitive. We use them only to provide Health to you. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or share them with employers or insurers. Health is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care.

8. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not show ads in Health, and we do not use your information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

9. Keeping and Deleting Your Information

We keep your information while your account is active.

You can delete your account in the app under Settings, then Delete account. Because one account works across Everyday Design apps, deleting it also deletes your data in any other Everyday Design app you use with the same account.

Deleting your account removes your account and your personal entries, including your movement, rest, workout and body-measurement entries, and any cheers you sent or received. Shared household content, such as grocery lists, recipes and meals, stays with your household with your name and user ID removed. If you are the last member of a household, we delete the household and everything shared in it.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Health Plus is managed by Apple and belongs to your household, so cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings.

Copies of deleted information may remain in routine backups and logs for a limited time before they are overwritten. We keep subscription and tax records for as long as the law requires.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing contact@everyday.design. You can also leave a household at any time from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. To exercise them, contact us at the email above.

11. Children’s Privacy

Health is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Data Security

Your information travels over encrypted connections, and our database rules limit each person to their own entries and their own household’s shared content. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Where Information Is Processed

We and our service providers process information in the United States.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Health changes. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date, and we will tell you in the app about significant changes.
